April Showers Day

Today is a day to celebrate NASA’s launch of five earth-observing satellites into orbit. Just keep in mind that you must take a selfie with our very own “Earth” on this day when people throughout the world observe Earth Day in various ways. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of how we are harming the planet and the need to save it, but it also serves to honor NASA for its efforts in launching five satellites in one day expressly to track changes on Earth.
In God We Trust Day
The U.S. Congress approved a law that made it mandatory for the same phrase to be inscribed on American coins, which led to this day. A law authorizing the phrase “In God We Trust” to start appearing on American coins was passed by the US Congress on April 22, 1864. It appeared on numerous U.S. coins for varying lengths of time between 1864 and 1938.

The resolution recognizes that the Earth and its habitats serve as our place of residence and that it is crucial to encourage harmony with the natural world. The term “Mother Earth” is employed because it illustrates the interdependence between people, other living things, and the world we all share.
National Day of Puppetry
is observed annually on the fourth Saturday in April. One of the earliest types of visual entertainment is puppetry, an age-old art form. Up until the turn of the 20th century, puppetry was only used in theater; nevertheless, it then began to appear in other forms of media. Puppeteers keep their tricks a secret, making puppeteering challenging to learn.

Stephen Lawrence Day
A black teen who was killed in a racist attack on this day in 1993 is remembered every year on this day. Lawrence was awaiting a bus in Plumstead, southeast London, when he was assaulted and died at the age of 18. The suspects were detained but never put on trial. It was claimed that Lawrence’s race affected how the matter was handled.
