Community Manager Appreciation Day

The function of community managers (CMs) is a relatively recent phenomenon that has emerged since the inception of the internet. This day is set aside to appreciate and celebrate the role that community managers have played in enhancing the user experience online. When an event was organised in Nairobi, Kenya the following year, the event expanded internationally. In 2012, Finland became the first nation in Europe to commemorate this day.

The day is designed to use a pencil or pen and paper to write, practise, and restore the traditional art of handwriting. A vital ability that elevates human civilization and enables us to communicate and trade on a broad scale is writing, the feature that distinguishes prehistory from history.
