Here is a simple recipe,
Ingredients:
• One and half cups milk
• Sugar -3/4 cup
• One and half cups coffee beans
• Required amount of salt
• One and half cups cream
• Five egg yolks
• Half teaspoon vanilla extract (you can add or reduce quarter teaspoon if you want)
• Half teaspoon ground coffee (you can add or reduce quarter teaspoon if you want)
Preparation Method:
Step 1: Take a saucepan and heat milk, sugar, coffee beans, salt, and half cup of the cream in a low flame until it is warm. Do not let it to boil. Take out gently if it is quite warm and leave it to cool. You no need to place it in refrigerator. Simply keeping it at room temperature is enough. Do not leave it for more than an hour.
Step 2: Take a bowl, gently mix the egg yolks. Reheat the mixture again until it is warm. Do not leave it to boil and gently pour the mixture into the egg yolks and stir it well. If the mixture is too hot, then egg yolks will be cooked by it. So pour only warm mixture.
Step 3: Heat a saucepan, pour this mixture gently, and stir it in a low flame for 10 minutes or until the mixture becomes thick.
Step 4: Take a large bowl, pour the remaining cream in the howl, and stir it. Set a mesh strainer, and pour this warmed mixture gently in the strainer so that the cream blends well with the mixture and the coffee beans can be filtered out and discarded.
Step 5: Mix it with vanilla, ground coffee, and stir it well and freeze it in the ice cream maker as per the instructions defined in the ice cream maker. It is done.
