Why We Celebrate National Nursing Assistants Day?
- Discover these unsung heroes.
How frequently have you observed the caregiver’s aide calming a loved one down in a care facility? Or someone who looks after your elderly relative’s dressing and feeding?
- Reviewing our past
The selfless contribution of those volunteer women – those nursing assistants who were provided – without any formal training is equal to the bravery of our military personnel throughout the World Wars! How can we pass up the chance to learn more about how this profession changed and developed into what it is today?
- We’re also receiving career guidance in healthcare.
We’ve observed that learning about certified nursing assistants also means learning about the courses that certify them. So, in addition to actively providing advice and suggestions for persons wishing to enroll in a nursing assistant school, websites and organizations commemorating this day do so. This day is a fantastic opportunity for anyone seeking a way to give back to their community or actively looking for jobs in the healthcare industry to assist you in making your decision and learn about the position’s duties.

Make nursing assistants feel very special by calling the mayor, city council, police chief, and fire chief’s attention to this day and this week. History Of National Nursing Assistants Day:
Nurse assistants have existed for a long time—since World War I! The conflict of weariness burdened the hundreds of nurses stationed alongside the soldiers. The American Red Cross established a Volunteer Nurses’ Aide Service after realizing the need. This program taught young women to work as uncertified volunteers as nurses’ assistants, giving essential support to overburdened nurses.
There were nearly 8,000 women who assisted in locations with severe shortages, such as reserve, field, base, and civilian hospitals, and performed basic triage. Unfortunately, this profession did not exist after the war, and it did not reappear until World War II.
