Not all people do workouts, not even a single minute exercise per day. How would our calories would be burned if no exercise at all? But still, not all can go to gym, for some, it is costly and some don’t have that scheduled time. And some are too lazy for workout.

History of National Running Day:
National Running Day has grown out of Global Running Day and several other organizations collaborates and founded this unofficial holiday in the United States by the year 2009. Contrary to the above statement, it is also claimed that Global Running Day was formerly known as National Running Day. Anyways, both are celebrated on the same day, first Wednesday of June.
Global Running Day is a worldwide celebration of running that insists everyone to get their laces up and go for a run. The day reminds us to know about the positives and benefits of Running. Due to this covid pandemic, the events are already in halt and would be difficult to resume considering the safety. But still organizers try to arrange virtual events to encourage physical wellness and strengthen community.
The inaugural day for Global Running Day was held on 2016 with around 2.5 million people from 177 different countries pledged to run. Later the International Association of Athletics Federations supported Global Running Day and called for a massive event. The organization collaborated with World’s leading running race Organizers and successfully established this day with annual events.
The events in 2020 was arranged virtually. People from all over the world participated in this event of running for some miles in a safe environment wherever possible and sharing the journey on the designated website.
