Why Salesperson Day?
Every organization needs Salespersons. They are what the people see and know therefore the face of the company. They are the first contact for any product and they are also the bridges between customers and the Industry! Believe it or not, selling is a tremendous skill and needs lots of efforts. Sales jobs are not cut out for everyone!
Gone are the days when Salespersons were burdened with unachievable tasks and meager incentives. Today salespersons can earn decent salaries and sometimes more than any other job role in the current market! The demand for good salespersons is increasing every day.
A good Salesperson knows the product very well and thus provides the right information to the customers. In this competitive market, Salespersons also help people to choose the right product among many different brands available today. Thus they are required to keep upgrading their product knowledge and about the market condition as well.
We all buy only from trusted sources and by trusted referrals. Thus salespersons also need to have a good rapport with customers and suggest their products according to their needs. If they sell bad products or cheap products for hefty prices it will surely land them in soup sooner or later. Thus knowledge, sociability, perseverance, trustability, and integrity are some of the core characteristics every salesperson needs to have. Depending on the product they offer, they will need to do more than selling for instance tracking orders, and maintaining inventory.
Salespersons are every businesses’ front liners, and the amount of sales also depends on their morale! If a salesperson is not encouraged and given the right guidance, they will be demotivated. Especially this holiday season, as many of us enjoy time with family or go on vacations, the entire sales forces work ardently than the rest of the year! When all our businesses are dependent on Sales personnel it is only fair to have a day dedicated to all those hardworking and efficient Salespersons in the making and out there!
