An Umbrella is the most practical and useful invention; it keeps us dry, protects us from heat, and is a very attractive ensemble to be used as a fashion accessory. The best and the easiest way to appreciate the invention is to buy a cute umbrella.

The easiest and probably a fun way to celebrate the day is to watch a movie that has scenes with umbrellas. Remember those fun times in old movies where a scene was cut, and the actors went behind the umbrellas? Wow, such a brilliant idea.
- Get Creative
If you don’t like watching movies, you could get creative make yourself an umbrella, one for everyone in your house. But, of course, you could also get out your scissors, your work pants, hehe, and get started with making pretty umbrellas for your cocktails and throw a party to show them off.
- Splash around and strike a Pose
Get dressed, bring out your gumboots, splash around puddles with your umbrellas, wear pretty clothes, and take pictures with an umbrella.

- The Chinese are supposedly the masterminds behind the great invention that protects us from rain.
- New Oxford Street in London, England, was the very first place to have a store that sold Umbrellas.
- As the name suggests, Umbrellas were used in photography to deviate from the excess lighting or to create an effect while taking pictures for portraits.
History of National Umbrella Day:
Although the roots of the constructive holiday are elusive, this has been celebrated ever since least probably 2004. Even so, another event on the calendar urges people to open their umbrellas indoors. Of course, the umbrella is also remembered in the month of March or whenever it rains, or it is too sunny, or you are at a beach.
In 1830, one of the first umbrella shops opened on 53 New Oxford Street in London, England. The store, which James Smith and Sons ran, is still open during daily business hours at the same location even to this day.
This day also acts as a mode to tell people things they didn’t know about umbrellas and their upgrades. Umbrellas had been turned into hats as recently as 1987, Hans Haupt’s pocket umbrellas initially featured in 1928. Bradford E. Phillips, the founder of Totes, Established in Loveland, Ohio, filed a patent for the very first “effective folding umbrella” in 1969.
Now, millions of producers make umbrellas, and they are available in all shapes, sizes, and colors at very affordable prices. We all know how important it is and how we have all had at least one umbrella in our homes forever.
