History of National Vietnam War Veterans Day:
Congress first celebrated national Vietnam War Veterans Day in 2007 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. It was formalized by including it in the law in the year 2008. Further, this day was commemorated on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Washington D.C, which is in 2012. In the year 2017, the decision to celebrate every year on the 29th of March was made. And it was also decided that the National Vietnam War Veterans Day will be celebrated at the National level until the year 2025.
