• Around 19 men of Osama bin Laden hijacked the planes on that day.

• The economic impact was huge as well. According to a report, the economic sector lost around 123 billion dollars in the first 2 weeks after the terrorist attack.
• Besides economic loss, the government had to spend a big amount to clean up. Well, the clean-up cost was around $750 million.
• This was not the first attack on the World Trade Center. The first attack was in 1993 when 6 people died because of the bombing.

Everyone knows the history of the terrifying day in 2001. Osama bin Laden’s hijackers flew three planes on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, New York and the Pentagon in Washington DC. The fourth plane was heading towards the White House.

However, it crashed into a field as the passengers fought with attackers. It was one of the most horrible attacks in our history where around 3000 people died. Besides citizens, around 400 emergency service workers lost their lives while rescuing others.

In September 2002, President Bush announced this day as the first Patriot Day. Later, in 2016, President Obama declared it as National Day of Service and Remembrance.
