JRR TOLKIEN DAY:
This day is dedicated to John Ronald Reuel (J.R.R.) Tolkien, who was born in 1892 Bloemfontein, South Africa—died September 2, 1973, Bournemouth. It pays tribute to his well-known fantasy books, which have had a positive impact on popular culture.
In addition to speaking Gothic, Welsh, and Finnish with ease, Tolkien was a philologist who studied a variety of languages. In Middle and Old English, he was exceptionally proficient. The adventures and challenges portrayed in Tolkien’s books are memorable for a variety of reasons, but the idea of a group of people working together to achieve a goal is just inspiring.
NATIONAL CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRY DAY:
Early in the 18th century, chocolate cherry cordials were the precursor to chocolate-covered cherries. The National Confectioners Association established it before the year 2019. Many people have shown interest in this festival over the previous few years. We now believe that there are more cherry cordial lovers than we first believed.Embracing and, of course, indulging in chocolate-covered cherries are the only things you can do on this day. In light of this, this day is a great opportunity to unwind and indulge in some chocolate-covered cherries. Since then, this devilishly delicious fruit has been seducing mankind after being transformed into god’s food and made irresistible.
DRINKING STRAW DAY:
This day honours Marvin C. Stone, who was awarded the patent for the paper drinking straw on this day in 1888. Since then, numerous drinking straws have been invented. The holiday honours the contribution that drinking straws have made to improving our quality of life and making it much simpler to enjoy our ice-cold beverages. It’s astonishing how a tiny product like a straw can significantly alter drinking customs all around the world. The straws were first created by the Sumerians, who also used them to drink beer. Given that they were notorious for drinking the most beer, they would have considered creating straws to keep the solid byproducts of fermentation from settling to the bottom.
FESTIVAL OF SLEEP DAY:
The opportunity to unwind after the New Year’s festivities is cozyly provided by this quiet day. Sleep is something that none of us will dislike, and this is especially true after festivals. One of the most prevalent and significant human activities is sleep. Sleep enables physical recovery, growth, and memory processing for human beings. In order to allow people to unwind and get some much-needed “shut-eye” after the holiday this day was promoted. In addition to decreasing performance at work or while performing daily tasks, sleep deprivation raises your risk of contracting certain medical conditions.
FRUITCAKE TOSS DAY:
Since 1995, Manitou Springs has sponsored the Fruitcake Toss competition annually. Fruitcakes are thrown into the air during the tournament using a variety of ingenious mechanisms, including throwing, hurling, catapulting, and cannoning. Due to their extreme sweetness, weight, and blandness, fruitcakes eventually turned into a bit of a joke. Fruitcakes are still given as Christmas gifts in many cultures around the world. After the Christmas holiday, the folks can discard the unwanted fruitcake thanks to the fun celebration Day. People are urged to discard their leftovers and replace them with fresh fruitcakes on this holiday.
HUMILIATION DAY:
Protestant Christianity is where the concept of humility in this sense originates, as it refers to putting one’s pride aside and approaching God as an equal human being. It is not appropriate to belittle or shame someone on this day. Maybe too many people equate modesty with modesty. Therefore, they consider today to be a day of humility. In recent years, Humiliation Day has become increasingly global, and people now perform deeds of kindness and humility more for the benefit of charitable causes than to please God. The best character characteristic to possess is humility. This holiday serves as a reminder to practise kindness and humility toward one another.
INTERNATIONAL MIND-BODY WELLNESS DAY:
A comprehensive approach to assessing human wellbeing is used on this day. Exercise, eating habits, and thinking are just a few things that have an impact on someone’s health and wellness. By putting fresh plans into practice for development and wellness in the upcoming year, this Day is the ideal moment to renew your commitment to loving your body and your mind! Our thoughts are one of the most powerful weapons we have for bettering our lives and the planet. Improved hormone balance, a better microbiome, a stronger immune system, and more vigour and energy can all be the results of a happy mindset.
MEMENTO MORI “REMEMBER YOU DIE” DAY:
Throughout history, a lot of individuals have referred to the idea of “Memento Mori,” and applying it to your own life can have a number of positive effects. Determine your broad life goals and the particular aims you want to focus on using Memento mori. Due to the transience and uncertainty of earthly life, which prevents many people from fully experiencing it, we should emphasise the significance of the afterlife when observing the day. The principle that there is always more to life is the one we can take away from it the most. An occasion such as this one gives us immense inspiration.
NATIONAL WRITE TO CONGRESS DAY:
We must exercise our freedoms and rights as citizens of a democracy. Government and citizens must be equally engaged for a nation to function properly. Now is the time for people to utilise their democratic rights. Sending letters describing all of your concerns to the elected leaders at the State and Federal levels is crucial. In Washington, DC, This Day continues to be highly respected and praised. Additionally, Congress receives the majority of its correspondence from this source. On this day, voters are reminded to get in touch with their congressman to voice their opinions and concerns. Voters can call, email, or write to voice their opinions.
WOMEN ROCK DAY:

This day is dedicated to celebrating the many remarkable women who helped create the rock genre and had a major influence on the music industry. Aretha Franklin, a legend in American music history, is credited with bringing the essence of gospel singing into mainstream culture; the song Respect is the first to fly the style’s flag.We acknowledge the important contributions made by women to rock and roll and keep them in mind.
