Why National Memorial Day?
Even before Memorial Day establishment, records states that women decorated the graves of soldiers even before the Civil War’s end as the practice of decorating grave is an ancient custom. Those women might be the soldiers’ relatives.
The documented evidence concludes that in 1861, before Memorial Day becomes official, a soldier named John Quincy Marr, who died in action during the civil was honored and his grave was decorated with flowers which were covered by a local newspaper. That is the first observance for a soldier by people who have no blood relation at all. The decoration was mostly done by the women who honored their village soldiers with respects.
From there it was claimed to be the initiative of Memorial Day establishment. The day was proclaimed on every last Monday in May to be a national observance to recall and show respects for the deceased soldiers of U.S Armed Forces.
we owe debts to the fallen heroes of our country, though cannot repay, it could be recalled and respected. Every soldier is an angel and the God is guarded by angels. A fall of an angel is a stab wound to the god that left a lifetime scar.
