Argyle Day:

Clothing in the argyle pattern began to be connected to prep schools in the 1980s. In addition to clothing, argyle is widely used on walls, quilts, throw pillows, and even thermoses. Today, socks and sweaters may be the most popular items to purchase in argyle.

Earth’s Rotation Day:

Researchers have struggled for years to understand how the planet revolves around the sun. It appears that historically, this day has been observed on the anniversary of Foucault’s first-ever public demonstration in Paris. The first person to commemorate this day or the moment they made the decision to do so are, however, less certain. Isabel Laessig established This Day with a number of her coworkers as a part of the Sunday Supper Movement and the Food and Wine Conference. To emphasise the value of families dining together, Laessig, the blogger and creator of Family Foodie, hosted her first virtual Sunday dinner with a few other bloggers and their families. Since then, it has been observed as a national holiday. After being proclaimed a national holiday, the day has gained popularity and encouraged families to get together for a meal to celebrate.

The poorest states may have a poverty percentage as high as 18%, according to recent studies. Over 40 million Americans battle poverty every day, whether it is via students who depend on scholarships to pursue their right to an education, elderly people who are burdened by mounting healthcare bills. Recommitting to the fight to eradicate poverty in the United States is perhaps this day’s most significant goal. The day provides an opportunity to continue our efforts to make poverty a thing of the past. 

World Typing Day:

In honour of the Malaysian Speed Typing Contest, which broke two records in the Malaysian Book of Records (MBR) for fastest typist and most participants in a typing competition, it was first observed in 2011. This day honours this quick, precise, and effective written means of communication. Typists can also participate in typing competitions on this day. The purpose of the day is to inspire individuals to communicate in writing.
