David Evans Stickle, 23, was a pharmacy student at the University Pharmacy of Pennsylvania in Latrobe. David’s had a Coke machine close by, like most pharmacies in the region at the time.
His preferences included warm soda fountain sundaes and leisurely strolls. He developed the banana split in the identical pharmacy. The dessert combination of banana splits has drawn curiosity from students at the adjacent Saint Vincent College. The dessert became well-liked and was quickly embraced by Americans. His first triple ice cream sundae with bananas cost ten cents, which was twice as much as the other flavours.
