Because of such response from the School Principal, the Students often mistake them as a dictator or a villain that is unfortunate. Therefore, this day is founded to create awareness to the students to recognize the work of principals. A Teacher always concerns about a Student’s success. • The impact of principal is significant on Student Achievement. A recent survey in the United States proved that the Presence of effective principal has led a tremendous impact on student’s improvement. In fact, the Ineffective principal eventually affects the Student’s performance.
• It is also believed that at least an effective principal would retain only effective Teachers that in turn results in the improvement on Students’ Performance. Therefore, the discipline and the success of the school depends on the principal. How the Principal is, the school will be. • Vice-principals or Deputy-Principals assist the Principals in almost all the large-sized Schools. The Principal is sometimes titled as “Head of School” in some of the Private Schools whereas, in all the public schools functioning in the United States, The school Head is titled mostly as “Principal”. However, in most of the English-speaking countries, it is titled as “head Master’ or “Head Mistress” irrespective of kind of schools.
• Before few decades, The Principals use to take classes for the Students. However, nowadays Principals are responsible for School Administration rather than teaching the students. In Private Schools, Managing Director of the School also would be the Principal by which they take care of both School Administration as well as Management.

History of School Principal’s Day:

Janet Dellaria of Trout Creek, a Teacher and a social worker from Michigan and several Teachers Association has come forward and declared this day to honor the work of the Head of School or the Principal. Therefore, this day is being observed as School Principal’s Day.
