- Limonana is the name of the drink in the Middle East and it includes a dash of crushed mint to the mix.
- While many believe that lemonade is an American drink, it hails from ancient Egypt. Lemons originated from India, China, and Myanmar and there might have been a drink made out of it in these regions. However, the written record of the drink dates to the 12th century in Egypt, in the name of “qatarmizat”, a drink of lemon with sugar. This was a valued item and was used as part of trading too.
